The Most Powerful Champion (Lore wise)

The Cool Persian·3/22/2015, 1:38:29 AM·9 votes·10,533 views

As we all know the new lore is being rewritten, so I thought about rewriting who is the most powerful champion? obviously we cannot truly fight them so we are all entitled to our opinions. Here are my top 3:

1: Cho'Gath: I'm going to put this quite simply Cho'Gath is the Godzilla of Valoran (Godzilla "King of the Monsters" in case you didn't know his title). 2: Jax: The guy beats people up without a real weapon. 3: Amumu or Vel'Koz: This one is tricky Amumu turns anyone who touches him or who he touches to dust, while Vel'Koz is huge and has a life form disintegration ray which can reduce anyone he sees to a purple voidlike smoke.

What are your thoughts on this? I would love to hear them.

Note: I wanted to add something funny, I didn't make this however; http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/215/5/8/cho__gath_vs_batman_by_1martiny1-d59ni9n.png

Current powerhouses:

  1. Bard (A being so powerful, he is beyond time and space but never reaching the levels of God)
  2. Xerath (Being of pure energy, nor being constrained be the limitations that a being that has a body would have, not really beyond time and space like Bard, not quite there yet)
  3. Shuriman Ascendant and the Originator of the Shadow Isles and what we all know as the Harrowing.
  4. Syndra (A human with magical powers and potential for levels reaching as much as Xeraths)
  5. Veigar (Same as Syndra, though concentrated in a smaller vessel)

After the release of Bard, i think that Veigar is stronger than before.

Even if there are a lot of champions have more power than Veigar (Bard, Xerath, Azir, Renekton, Nasus, Lissandra and Syndra for example) Veigar can defeat them all with ease... Why? because he is a corrupter of the cosmic energy and master of the black magics.

He is not someone who was born with talent like Synda or obtained power with a magical ritual like Xerath... He STUDIED from different dark mages across the world, from Freljord, to Shurima, Demacia and Noxus, passing though all the city states and places.... until he found the strongest magic of all... No black Ice, no void magic or thorn magic, not even the magical rituals of shurima... He LEARNED that the strongest magic, was the magic of the cosmos (Used by Bard (and Soraka) which seems to be a godlike being)... and he managed to corrupt that magic and use it for himself. If he can do that with the cosmic energies, i can bet that he can do the same with any magic.... and in fact, the game tell us that: Primordial Burst is a magical spell that can turn the magic of his enemy against them.

The only problem with Veigar, is that he is insane... and does stupid things... so... he is not an actual threat... for now.

I agree with almost everything that Tesla Effect said... except for a little (heh... little) thing:

Veigar Veigar does not have the potential to reach the power level of Xerath... He has the potential to surpass the powers of Bard (and in fact... he is doing it.... slowly... but he is doing it)

There was an old Forums list that ranked them, by popular vote, like this:

  1. Nasus
  2. Renekton
  3. Xerath
  4. Fiddlesticks
  5. Chogath
  6. Brand
  7. Anivia
  8. Soraka
  9. Zilean
  10. Veigar

I would definitely include Bard on this list with Nautilus , Azir , Karthus Syndra , Velkoz , Nocturne , Lissandra , Aatrox and Kassadin .

Obviously not in that order, though.

  1. Xerath Nocturne are probably the strongest champions I can think of in that you can't KILL them and they wield massive power. On the Fields, sure, we can kill them, but off? Xerath is a being of Pure Magical Energy, he can only be Imprisoned. Nocturne (in Old Lore) the Institute of War-the Strongest Faction in the World-was afraid if they killed him, he'd just go back to his dimension and keep killing Summoners in their sleep. Not only are these two Unkillable, but they are beyond a Mortal Form. I also need to add Chogath because He is Unkillable and sure, he's constrained to a single form, but if his old lore says anything, he can destroy the world, he just chooses not to. I fear the day anything HE fears shows itself...
  2. Aatrox Syndra Veigar Bard Syndra has Cataclysmic power, that monastery she lives in floats by the sheer power of her Subconscious. She doesn't even have to do anything to keep that fortress floating. Veigar has the power to corrupt an energy far beyond Runeterra and that definitely earns him points. He may be killable, but he can CERTAINLY do some damage. And Aatrox has managed to shape every society known to Runeterra and is called 'The Avatar of War' and I think that's for a damn good reason. Bard also fits here because he is incredibly powerful but it was stated in his Q&A he can be Captured and Enslaved, or even killed by something with greater power.
  3. Anyone below these two tiers may be powerful, but they cannot cause Untold Death and Destruction. They have some sort of limit, whether that's their mortal forms or the magic they call upon, but they can bleed and they won't be destroying entire ecosystems any time in the immediate future though...

Olaf because he has canon plot armor.

Olaf has been destined to die from old age peacefully, and has won/tied (Sejuani) every fight he has ever got in. The only thing that could possibly kill him would have to be god-tier since they have to be able to change fate. Any other character would either have to subdue him in a way besides death or get away fast.

Olaf has literal plot-armor.

On the Chinese servers they believe that MonkeyKing is actually THE Sun Wukong. Who Goku from DBZ is based on.

In which case he would be by far the strongest champ in the game, and could solo Xerath and Syndra and Fiddle combined.

In the Chinese fan-made series LaLaLa Demecia, they have Wukong 1 vs 8 Leona, Riven, Darius, Jarvan, Master Yi, Katarina, Caityn and Garen and he completely wrecks all of them. XD

Not saying hes actually this powerful in lore, but if he was as powerful as the Chinese beleive, no other champ even comes close.

I'd chime in here, but my pick for the spot hasn't had their lore retconned yet and it would be unfair to compare a large body of old lore to a few snips of new lore.

Godzilla isn't the most powerful kaiju, though. King Ghidorah, SpaceGodzilla, and Destroyah are all close to or on his power level

Omnem Occido3/24/2015, 12:01:43 PM2 votes

Based on the impact he has made on the world, Aatrox. He has single-handedly shaped the course of history over several wars and generations. Based on supposed talents, Kog'Maw. He can apparently spit one glob of spit at something physical and completely dissolve it in a matter of seconds. Based on the nature of his existence, Bard. He is an eternal and multidimensional being that protects the most sacred of relics.

Laughing Fish's Top 5:

  1. Viktor conquered an entire dimension once (Creator Viktor), and then proceeded to invade another. He even managed to kill and convert Cho'Gath, Vel'Koz, and more.

  2. Karthus holds the key between life and death, and has the ability to convince even the strongest and most pure to willing give themselves up to him.

  3. Chogath only remains in the league as it gives him an easy way to kill people. He summoned himself into our world, and theoretically has no limit to his size and power.

  4. Malzahar is the most likely being to open up the void. He has the potential to end life as we know it.

  5. Velkoz is a nightmarish creature with unmatched knowledge. He is smarter than you, stronger than you, and more powerful than you.

Xerath How many times must these threads come up?

GenoXx3/23/2015, 9:48:31 PM1 votes

Kalista Thresh I'm just going to say that, the Magicks of the Shadow Isles is stronger than a little fool who can manipulate the cosmos. Thresh gets stronger every soul he take, same with kalista. If there is more like them on the Isles, they can exceed whoever on the list because they are already dead. And you see how strong the Harrowing had it's impact on Bilge water over the years. It just keeps getting stronger.

So my Answer is Death

Lissandra has all the time in the world. She immortal, she's Iceborn, and she's rewritten history to her liking. My vote is for Lissandra.

Next up would be Brand and Xerath. Both incredibly destructive.

Bard doesn't really do open conflict. He intervenes, he doesn't jump right into a battlefield. If we're going off of sheer power, gotta go with one of the previously mentioned.
