Jarvan lightshield the second's disturbing lack of lore
Where is he? we know he was a king from Xin Zhao's lore but that's about it. i myself have the theory that he is swain, it makes some sense story-wise

It makes no sense.
Swain appeared out of nowhere, climbing the ranks. He has a seeming vendetta against Demacia, maybe some story between the two.

Anyone think Swain is possessed ?
More like he made a deal with Beatrice. But he could be possessed for all we know.
J4=LB
and? its a theory
Assuming his father was J1, how old was he when his father dead to
?
WE have no idea, no lore
I'm still assuming J1 wasn't J2's dad, and that there was a long gap between Jarvans. Assuming Orlon held the title of King, which he potentially decided not to if someone else ruled while he was around (but that'd be a bit odd), and then he sired J1, Demacia would have only had four kings in its entire history. That seems more odd to me than anything; I'd have assumed there were kings and queens not named Jarvan at some point in Demacia's history..
A freaking timeline would be nice Riot.
Indeed, though I do enjoy trying to figure out how all this bollocks fits together. At the very least we can be rest assured that there is a timeline, where as before there kinda wasn't. it's at least somewhat reassuring that things do actually fit in some way.

Why do you assume this?
Mainly because Sion is a forgotten hero in Noxus. Even with the influence Boram had it would take time and a few generations to pass before Sion became a forgotten hero following his demise, reanimation and being sealed away. If J3 is the king now and J2 was the king before I don't think the time would've been long enough for J2 to be J1's son. I might be wrong on this but I've always held the assumption that the time between Sion's sealing and rebirth by Swain was at least a century and a half, but I'd still bank on it being longer.
My personal thoughts have been that Demacia at the time either had J1's progeny take the throne, or his wife if they had no kids/the kids were too young. If J1 had no heir or wife I'd assume a massive power vacuum would've opened up in Demacia, where the Noble Houses vied squabbled as they tried to each guide Demacia to where it was supposed to go in their eyes.
I dunno. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I dunno either. But I'm kind of banking the lore department didnt take any of this into consideration at all.
Wait was it J2 or J3 that helped Xin?
J2. I believe it's implied Xin's somewhere between mid fifties and mid sixties in terms of age, so estimates would put his rescue around thirty to forty years ago. I could be wrong on my estimates, but what I do know is Xin served in the court of Lightshield before J3 took the throne.
It doesn't need to be a direct lineage of Jarvans. According to new LOAR, Sion is several centuries old, and if you know anything about real monarchies, names tend to jump a few generations.
Again I don't know. Though if it was centuries...HOW OLD WAS BORAM WHEN HE DIED?!
Several centuries. Mind you, he was also rumored to be a necromancer and likely used his fell powers to prolong his life.
I get that. But how the hell does that effect his family life?! That's what bothers me!
Either he bore no children, or he outlived them.
Honestly that's not the worst of it. If you think about the Gerudo in the Ocarina of Time, it heavily implies that Ganondorf and the Gerudo in general are byproducts of grand-paternal incest.
But he did have two sons.
Then he would have outlived them. Is that so difficult a concept to grasp?
But how often did he have children? Both his children were alive after his death. Are they his only children? Are they aware of their dead of old age siblings?
If Boram wanted to live so long, why would he have kids in a cutthroat place like Noxus?
People have kids for one reason or another regardless of the state of their environment. The Falloutverse is a shithole, but people are still having children.
But why would Boram have heirs if he had no intention of dying? That's pretty much setting up a coup from your own family because unless you're dead they won't ever rule.
That's why Boram's family is confusing to me!
You're mistaking Noxus' heirarchy with a monarchy. In Noxus, strength prevails over all, and the person who gets elected to be Grand General by the other Generals needs to demonstrate militaristic dominance over the rest. Because Boram has been the Grand General for so long, Noxus obviously hasn't had need to do this for centuries, hence why they almost devolved into a civil war when it happened.
Noxus' political structure is democratic to a degree, and in a democracy, being the son of the previous leader doesn't give you much favor in the election. By the way, one of his sons DID attempt to seize power during the upheaval, and Swain killed him in a duel.
All that aside, you're ignoring the many reasons why people have children in the first place, one of the reasons being it's a natural part of the cycle of humanity.
Ahh. I'll admit I am often mistaking for how Noxian politics work.

I always imagined J4 in his mid 20s.
