It's seems odd that Victorious Orianna's chroma don't match their names

So today I learned Victorious Orianna's chroma are called Amber and Peridot. My question is if Riot is going for a gemstone theme why remove the beautiful gemstone cut hairstyle seen in the base skin? Don't you think if they are named after gemstones their hair should reflect that gem?

I suppose gems can be cut in many ways, but I just really like the base skin hair gemstone cut. Maybe I am alone in this regard? I am making this post to gauge everyone else's opinions.
