Age old question: Will we be recieving reskins of Summoner's Rift for Harrowing/Snowdown Showdown?

I believe the last time the Harrowing/Snowdown Showdown map skins were last used were in 2011 (I remember playing on them in 2010 and 2011), and I know they were waiting for the new map to be done before releasing any reskins of Summoner's Rift. Now that the Bilgewater event has passed and we got a reskin for Howling Abyss during the event (it was an amazingly well made map, kudos to the art team) and The Harrowing is the next large event, will we be receiving a spooky version of SR this year? Even a darkening of the map (like when Doom Bots were in) would be pretty cool. Another question, will we be receiving a huge event for The Harrowing?

Tl;Dr, Will there be reskins or at least a darkening of Summoner's Rift for The Harrowing/Snowdown Showdown this year ?

Also, I know you're tired of hearing this question a lot, I just love the holiday/lore events that happen and how they affect the game aesthetics.

I think if they add the map back in Urf should get a new animation when he beats up Warwick.

I sure hope so. I joined League in 2013 but never really touched the game until earlier this year, in January. So I never got to experience the Harrowing or Snowdown events. I hope they do something cool :)

I kinda expect a modified version of the Butcher's Bridge for the Harrowing, rather than of Summoner's Rift, with that of the Black Mist coming to Bilgewater and all that.

As for making map skins for Summoner's Rift, we should take into account that SR is considered the primary way to play LoL, and almost all balance and design decisions are geared towards preserving SR's competitive integrity, so a map skin would have to be made with great care.

I think that we will see SR skins at some point, but they probably will require a lot of work to make.

I think I started playing the season after they had the snowy SR skin and I every year I hope they'll do it again but nope

Probably not. I think that if they make a skin for summoners rift it will be similar to butchers bridge in terms of quality. And a map like that would probably take too long to be done when we got butchers bridge already this year.

I'd love to see the Harrowing recolor on the new sr, they did say they were waiting for the new summoners rift to be done before doing any holiday maps. That was back in like 2012 they said that though...

i remember there being a lot of complaints with the old harrowing skin it being too dark and the winter one being way too bright so i feel like the answer is... maybe

we arent sure what they could do with this new map but they also have past reasons on why they shouldnt make map skins

I really hope they do I started at the beginning of Season3, right after season3 worlds and never got to see Winter/Harrowing maps :( I would really love too!
