Why not animations AND text?

Riot's recent lore releases have mostly been visual: Kalista, Bard, SHURIMA, etc. They've also mentioned that they much prefer telling stories that way to pure text.

But why not both?

I mean, their videos are great and all, but they take so much time to make for such a small amount of info. I can't see how the lore can progress at a rate that doesn't bore us unless they set up an entire department purely for it (which I can't see happening).

So why not use text releases for general lore continuation, and then when a big event happens like Azir's revival they tell it using their videos? That way we can get cool stories often, ALONG with the really cool videos when something major happens in Runeterra. Imagine the whole Kalamanda arc, but it gets concluded with a super hype video of Zilean just being awesome.
