journey into different realms and interact with ancient beings to find world runes. Or maybe

Quinn played somewhat of a similar role, gathering notes in her journal about Ashe, Sejuani, Lissandra, and their people during her scouting mission to the Freljord. I don't know that it necessarily clarified more than it generated further intrigue though.

have had their reasons for being on Runeterra removed, and there wasn't really anything to replace it. 
originally was a character whose fame originated in the League, but he didn't require it in order for his story to work. They are the biggest example of "what-the-f#@$"ery in the entire lore of League.
If anyone needs a major lore update just to figure what the heck is going on, it's those two.
