I'm not sure if I'm the first to report it, but I figured I should let you guys know! I don't think TF is a "card sharp" (though I could be wrong), but he's definitely a "card shark". I LOVE THIS EVENT SO FAR! Here's a picture of the error.
RiotBioluminescence7 votesI can totally see why you would call him a card shark, but a card sharp is a valid term too - it means one who cheats or swindles with cards! The terms have a very similar history, and some say that 'sharp' is more likely associated negatively, than the slightly more positively viewed 'shark'.

RiotRiotJaredan4 votesI use card shark actually. I never use card sharp in my own speech, but it's the original usage. Card shark came later, and card sharp (or cardsharp) has more of a history of referring to someone cheating to win. One of our editors pointed it out and we went with it.
Also, I've learned to use American English in my editing and writing since coming to the States several years ago.
Still, I can't bring myself to call football "soccer," no matter the etymology. It just feels like I'm betraying my heritage. Oh, and I can't say "aloominum." It's just wrong. WRONG!
