What is the Most Interesting New Champion Thematic?

In honor of the Riot sponsored VGU poll coming up. I have decided to make my own poll but for new champions since Riot can't be so open about that (spoilers and all that). On the boards you typically see the same handful of ideas for new champs get tossed around from time and time. You see them brought up by different users that there most be some mutual expectation of their eventual release. By far, the one I see the most (and my personal favorite) is the idea of a Darkin that isn't evil anymore and works in tandem with its host (aka not completely absorbing their psyche) in order to repent for its past crimes. Whether it's a male or female doesn't really matter too much to me, but people seem to want it to be female because we haven't got one. The other big one is Setaka or a female Shuriman Ascended due to how often she comes up in the lore and the abundance of Champions she is connected to (Aatrox, Azir, Sivir etc).

There are a couple others I've seen requested on more than one occasion and I've also included them in the poll. So go ahead and vote so Riot can get some secondhand data without revealing what they are working on.

I have Yordle concepts that are Yordles influenced by different things.

One who got corrupted by the Black Mist, one with a Darkin weapon, one that got corrupted by the Void, one who Ascended, one who is the vessel for an Aspect, ect. I think it would be really interesting to see Riot explore the possibilities for Yordle champions in terms of things that can happen to them while they're in the realm of Runeterra.

Other than that, I want to see a Demacian/Ionian. We have Ionians that live in Demacia, but no Demacians that live in Ionia. I find that a bit odd. Think about it. If you're a mage and you want to escape persecution, Ionia is the best place, because the land there pulses with magic. I think an exiled mage would feel right at home there.

I have a concept in my head for a Repentant Darkin, although in my concept the host is female Vastayan, Darkin male. I have a concept for a non-bipedal Ascended too.

I'd like a Shadow Isles Yordle idea however, not a villain like many Shadow Isles folk, just one weirdly immune due to their own magic, make them female and it fits nicely.

Also, isn't Neeko meant to be a 'Vastayashairei'?

An actually good knight-based toplaner that isn't in stupid bulky armor and doesn't use a paddle as a weapon ( Garen )

A female Darkin is already guaranteed, given that Varus is looking for a "sister" in his comic. Whether that be a sister in battle or an actual blood sister of his who also became an Ascended, we have yet to see. But I don't think we're getting any more Darkins for another while, since there are most likely only two that will be added to the game in the future (probably a mid laner and support, to complete the team comp).

I still believe Setaka is going to come to the game one day, but not how people expect. At the end of Where Icathia Once Stood when the Void is overtaking everything the writer uses the very specific term that she was "cocooned" in Void tendrils rather than killed by it or whatever. I think the Setaka we eventually see will be a Void corrupted Ascended which is super cool. Obviously Watchers can create creatures out of matter, but corrupting the very light of the stars Ascendant hold as well as just her physical prowess being insane will be a great benefit to their army, in a sort of Sarah Kerrigan sort of way.

An ezreal-tier cute male enchanter in the same way that Nami is considered an enchanter (but with a humanoid form), and female darkin would be two things I WOULD LOVE TO SEE!

The champion thematic I would obviously enjoy the most to see next would be a chembaron (preferably female, since Zaun lacks girls and we could use a scary woman).

Wraith Yordle
Yordle that adapted to the Blessed Isles before they became the Shadow Isles
Yordle that adapted to the Shadow Isles

I want a general style support, the kind that sits back and barks orders Raise the morale of his people and give them a buff Order them to attack one person and you get a speed boost towards them and/or deal extra damage I dont have too many ideas but I see something forming slowly

Male Enchanter all the way, that hopefully has more personality than "PrOtEcT tHe InNoCeNt" and preferably from Noxus, the Freljord, or Shurima, factions that still don't have a single support champion.

Alright, I absolutely love some of these suggestions, especially yours about an altruistic Darkin instead of an evil one. It sounds like such a unique concept! Bonus points if it’s female.

I feel like a female Ascended like Setaka, a Noxian warmason, or a male enchanter are very likely possibilities, and too good of ideas for Riot to never do them. A Mount Targon/Shadow Isles yordle is also an interesting idea, although it’s also a bit of an unusual one, so I’m not sure on its likelihood on making it into the game. We’re probably least likely to get a true Vastayashai’rei or an actual Watcher.

My vote almost went to a cross-regional type Champion, since I found it super interesting to see two different types of cultures intersect with each other on one Champion in any way. I don’t think we have a lot of Champions like that anyways.

My vote ultimately went to another Freljordian demigod – especially for the Seal Sister. I love Freljord, I love seals, and I think she would make a good support/mage from the Freljord. I can imagine she would just be an awesome addition overall.
