Riot's Video Effects

Does anyone know how Riot creates some of the beautiful special effects that they like to use in their videos? In particular, I'm interested in figuring out how they achieve that bluish-colored smoke effect.

I'd really love to hear from someone at Riot on how they do this, but if anyone else knows, or can explain, I'd love to know.
