If Azir was brought back to life during the rise of the ascended video (assuming that it is canon) then why doesn’t he rebuild shurima and gather the remaining acended/darkin.

I think on the Aatrox AMA someone said the Darkin would be more likely to fight Azir than follow him. He might be able to pull it off, but he'd really have to flex those leadership skills. Although Nasus would buddy up with him eventually.

Well he could, that remains but he has xerath to deal with where xerath is just so powerful, he can littlery fight the void himself. Thus the factor of Azir beating xerath comes at a long war. Plus no one even knows if Azir can go beyond sand let alone if his whole army is the sand itself. But Azir is younger then the darkin, so it’s doubtful they will yield to a young emperor or leader.

But it was said the the fall of Azir was the reason the darkin erupted into the civil war so wouldn’t it be that his resurrection would bring them back together and fight against Xerath together.

Because what Azir has been up to since resurrection is entirely unclear, as that story has yet to be told.

Although we know Azir has rebuilt Shurima, because nomads from across the country have (what would you call the opposite of an exodus?) flocked back to the capital. And im pretty confident there aren't any more Ascended hanging about, most killed off by the humans apart from the playable Ascended we have.

That the darkin and other accented haven’t went back to shurima. I.e. nasus renekton and aatrox

Nasus did return to Shurima. He tried to fight Xerath 1v1 but even with thousands of years of farming He still got destroyed. He survived still and headed to the Shuriman capital, and the story ends there. Riot needs to continue it ASAP.

Well a lot of our understanding comes from the lore we have. Which has approximate answers for your questions, even if specifics haven't been made into canon stories yet. So if you haven't read them I encourage so, rather than have others do the work for you.

But generally all the Ascended and Darkin either killed each other or were killed (more like exterminated really) by humans. While the two of the three remaining Ascended would be opposed to Azir.

Renekton never left Shurima, he was trapped there.

I doubt azir can control them, as azir is basically all mighty but then no one knows if his army can even leave shurima but then again it’s magic and not pure sand
