League needs to update champion lore.
As we all know, the retcon that removed the whole concept of the League of Legends and the Institute was a long time ago. Over two years, really, and with the promise of new narratives and expanding beyond the narrow concept, and what we got out of it has looked fantastic so far: new champions and reworks all show how good the lore can be without relying on making it make sense for the gameplay concept. But after two years, there are still champs that this hasn't extended to: their lore is still outdated and relies on the League of Legends.
How do we fit the old champs with lore that still hasn't been updated into Runeterra's world? Here's a list of champs whose lores relies heavily or entirely on lore that isn't canon now:

And here's champs that have lore that references it, but still is apart of their lore:

Even with this long list, I might be missing some: this is only an estimate, and there might be even more older champions who are like this. Including the unreleased champion, Kled, there are 132 total champions in league. That gives us over 15% of champions who has outdated lore that does not fit into the world of Runeterra.
Yes, the lore is obviously not the most interesting part of League. But it gives us a sense of immersion; why shouldn't every single character in League have some sort of relevance in it's narrative and plot, if the whole reason for this retcon was to give the power to the champions and show that they have a real purpose in their world of Runeterra, how are we going to let these old champs die?
