"Jihn" new champ theory

JINNZILLA··5 votes·12,420 views

I never post on here.. but the hype has gotten to me.. and I saw a video that the YouTuber Brofresco made and also one that RedMercy made a few days ago so here's my theory.

Zed = 3 letters Sona = 4 letters Garen = 5 letters Vi = only 2 letters.. but means 6 in Roman numerals

I believe Jihn to be the 7th from the gang that Vi/Jinx were a part of.. possibly Jinx's "sister" that she mentions in her quote.. or when the shopkeeper in the howling abyss mentions "you look so much like your sister.." to Vi.

Also "Deadeye" does equal 7 letters.. not sure if that carries weight or not, but yeah I strongly believe that's what this new champ will be.

...and before you say anything.. I've had the names "Jinn" and "Jinnzilla" forever so :P

I watched the same video as you did. It certainly brings up some question marks. I don't know if anyone has noticed this but with Garen, Sona, Zed and Vi. They all have their own symbol in their trailers. Zed has flowers, Sona has butterflies, Garen has crystals and Vi has fire. I have no clue what they mean. In Brofresco's video he called the trailers 'promos' for a new possible champion. Some people think it's a set of skins and nothing else. But i think it's a set of skins and then a new champion release, maybe someone that is related to Vi and Jinx's lore. So keen for more information too come out. [slayer-jinx-wink]

Here's the thing; you're pulling an Illuminati theory by putting abstract things together in such a way that they appear to make sense. How could Jhin be the seventh member of Vi's gang when we literally know nothing about him besides that he's targeting Zed, Garen, Sona and Vi? And why would an escalation in lettering with each champion have any relevance to someone being in a gang? Especially considering that only one of the four champions is even related to said gang? Please try not to make such huge and wild assumptions for the sake of having Jinx's/Vi's sister as a champion.[slayer-jinx-unamused]

The gang they were all apart of isn't made up.. it's in the lore.. Vi was 6.. Jinx was X or 10.. but those who crossed her path gave her the name Jinx because those who crossed her path were in danger or something unfortunate were to happen. Ekko was XII or 12.. it's on his weapon if you look at splash art. Ekko's friend joined the gang with him, adjuna ? (SP) as number XI or 11.

Also, when I put "sister" in quotations I don't mean blood related. A lot of times gangs refer to each other as brothers or sisters because it might have been the only family they had.

Ekko has hidden quotes and interactions with Jinx and Vi as well.. you can look that up if you don't believe the gang thing.

Vi was one of the only ones to steer clear from the gang after the mining incident as she was known to only steal from criminals ever since that happened.. and was recruited by Caitlin in Piltover. So it would make sense why she would be a target.

I understand this number of letters in each persons name is a one hell of a theory.. but who knows.. but who are you to tell me not to have a wild theory? I've seen other theories all over the Web that make less sense and are way wilder than mine.. but I don't discredit them!

I literally said nothing in attempt to discredit the gang actually including Jinx and Vi. Where you managed to read what I said and think "this guy's saying that the gang doesn't exist!", I have no clue. And the reason it's best advised to not have wild theories is because Riot actually has something cohesive when it comes to the lore of more recent champions. There's a reason for Jhin marking Sona, Garen, Zed and Vi that likely doesn't involve Vi's gang - and if it somehow does involve Vi's gang, it doesn't involve Jhin being in it.

Like I said.. I've seen a way wilder theories than mine.. (i.e. a Taric rework) even though it sounds farfetched doesn't mean it couldn't be. My point is you can have your opinion but telling someone "not to have wild theories" is ignorant, especially when there isn't enough evidence and everyone is in the dark.

You're also making statements as if they are fact.

"It doesn't involve Vi and Jinx's gang."

"If it did involve the gang, Jhin isn't apart of it"

How the hell do you know? Lol

Gee idk where I got the idea that you were discrediting the "said gang" lol

Why the heck does this have so many downvotes? They are completely correct - its simple logic.

With the "Mind of the Virtuoso" teaser, I can now safely say there's no way Jhin could be from Vi's gang. His mask and weapon look far too refined and elegant to be from the foundry-city, and in fact it looks more like something a high-class Piltovian would have. On top of that, his gun, (which people often use to associate Jhin with that gang) bears four lines with aligned strikes to either side; IIII. That's likely a different symbol entirely, because the Roman Numeral for four is IV. And he seems to be completely solitary, though somehow he does seem to know about Zed, Sona, Garen and Vi; perhaps he's a vagabond of some sort, but we can't quite know until he's released.

This is my favorite of the theories I've read. Very good job! I would have never thought about the names counting as numbers! Ps don't worry bout the haters knocking your theories down... Lol the whole point of a theory is speculation lol.

I like this theory and mine was lore related as well! I thought that because of all the smoke and fun stuff and the fact that all the champs are "deadeyed" I looked back to Kalista's lore and the part where the swords wife's children and husband are murdered by an assassin. But that's not what points me to think of the assassin from Kali's story; it's what Riot said later: "[who is the assassin?]" and the fact that Riot is trying so hard to link everyone's lores together. I like yours a lot tho and I hope to see more from the good old days of Zaun and hopefully a Bard lore eventually other than just taking an egg to restore balance to Runeterra before it could be used as a weapon (why did he take the egg Rito? Is it Aoi Shin? No? Didn't think so.)

Fun theory. Not realistic, though. Look at the spots said champions were struck by the (spectral? spiritual?) arrows. This is probably another entity, sort of like Bard and Kindred, that revolves around people's wishes or dreams. Perhaps it fulfills their inner wishes? It strikes Sona's throat - she has been a mute all her life. It strikes Garen's heart - he is in love with Katarina, but their allegiances keep them apart. Zed and Vi however is a bit more abstract. For some reason i cant explain this champion STORY is exciting me a lot more than it should. I cant wait to see how it affects the involved champions, if only in their lore.

also if you look at what they say when you pick them: Zed : "The UNSEEN blade is the deadliest." - shot through the eyes Sona : "Only you CAN HEAR ME summoner, what masterpiece shall we play today?" - shot in the throat Garen : "My HEART and sword for demacia." - shot through the heart Vi : "PUNCH first. Ask questions while PUNCHING." - shot in back but her gauntlets are being blown off
