New Lore Clarity??

I'm just a bit confused as to why Riot decided to go about with removing some very important aspects of the current lore and remove all ties from the actual game to the story of Runeterra. Its just kind of frustrating to see something so key to the current lore that we've all grown to know and love be deleted. I guess id just like to know why this is the conclusion that riot has come to, like why not build off of the current lore instead of just change it. Even if the institutes removal is inevitable, why not go with something story wise that leads to its destruction or an uprising/revolt against it instead of just deleting it, i think you guys could get pretty creative and come up with something that could appeal to all or most members of the community but still grow the story extensively. I just hate to see that the battles we all have are just familiar faces with no purpose other than "kill, kill, kill, baron, kill some more, yay we win, GG" I guess i just like the parts of the story that give the game play some meaning and have actual context (however small) is all, it may just be me being a drama queen ;-; but i hate to see the story change so dramatically with no explanation.

First, Ahri finding way to become fully human. Now, Ahri finding love with MonkeyKing.

Think every LoL fans will like that?

New Lore team decided the IoW was confining, so they retconned. Why they didn't do anything to instead move the lore forward in that direction instead of tearing everything down? No idea. They have yet to answer that since this was announced, as far as I am aware.

They didn't like the direction of the old lore, so now they're retconning everything they don't like in the old lore and replacing it with things they do like. Not only the Institute of War, but also Trundle and Xerath.

I have no faith in the lore until Trundle is Trundle again. Until that happens, which might be never, I can't trust Riot not to just bluntly replace all the characters I love and care about.
