I was so hyped when the patch came out with elementalist lux i insta bought rp. But the wait is so underwhelming. I can't even play anything because it's not even fun. I have a friend that bought rp for the skin and ended up wasting it because he'd already lost the hype waiting. Every morning is a disappointment finding out that the skin isn't even out yet. Why do they add the skin in the patch if they wont activate it in days.

You've lost the hype already? That's on you. Not Riot's fault considering it's the norm for skins to be released in a staggered fashion.
Because they split up patching big things. The problem isn't them taking too long to release it, it's that Ele Lux was leaked way too early.

Same problem with me, i've been checking every morining and every two hours or so, playing game isn't fun anymore when you're just waiting... I hope they do release it fast... It's not that the game itself is boring,just that every time you play you rember how much you're waiting for something...it's bad but people like me, who like to get things fast and now...:/
You don't get to talk about dying hype until you experienced Sombra.
Would you rather wait until December for this skin (if it was released on the next patch) or get it before December (if it was released this patch)?
Look, I'm getting a little tired of these posts, so let me make something clear. RIOT IS WORKING HARD TO GET THE SKIN TO ALL OF US. They don't always release skins the day the patch comes out, and we've had plenty of instances of this already. Heck, we got the new Jayce/Sej/Bard/Karthus skin a week after the patch was released. And this is because they need to keep a schedule. They can't skip making a patch just because one part of it is unsatisfactory.
Riot wouldn't be keeping this skin from the public if it was not up to their standards. They're working every day to clean up this skin, to make it the best that it can be. That way you'll like this skin even more than if it was released quickly with a lot of bugs. So please, be patient with them! They're trying to get you the skin as fast as possible.
Im confused. A skin isnt suddenly gonna make everything more fun. If you enjoy playing Lux, youll enjoy playing Lux, skin or no skin. Of course its gonna be nice to look fancy, but the gameplay isnt gonna change one bit
It does some strange to include content in a patch and release it later. I never quite understood why. If there are still things to work out, leave it on PBE for another patch instead of leaving people in the dark and opening their game client each day wondering, is the ultimate skin out today?
I've been following the skin since it was leaked on Reddit months ago and I had hoped to see it out with the patch or even today as a "Happy Thanksgiving" kinda thing, but no dice. I don't know how this affects most people looking to buy it, but I'm sure that many make the connection that Patch 6.23 = Elementalist Lux patch and when it's not out with the patch, I'd bet a lot of people are disappointed. Hope it comes out soon!

Yeah you think they would have released it so they could catch all the college kids home for thanksgiving break, but I guess they don't want $.

With the amount of "stuff" that Elamentalist Lux has it's more prone to weird things happening to it (bugging out) so I think they're just making sure it'll be great for when it goes live
They didn't activate it early because of the Holiday. Since the Riot office was closed, they didn't want to release a big ticket item and have an error that needed fixing ASAP. Many members of Riot traveled to be with family, so can't be brought back to the office on a whim.
Yup, you know I bought RP just to buy this skin. It'll be my first skin ever. But its not out...

Dear summoners, The new lux skin will come out Saturday evening enjoy... and after 1 week or 10 days new patch new champion Camille and new winter skins. hope this will calm you all.
They're waiting till after Thanksgiving. Why release the skin when a lot of people are going to be traveling and spending time with their families? They'll probably release it over the weekend.
I hope they add it in by today evening, but that's wishful thinking. Meanwhile, Cosmic reaver kassadin and dark star thresh are looking really good.
I think Riot aims for that: peopple buying rp then get impatient so the spend those rp before that skin comes out. Only to charge more rp once the skin they originally wanted actually comes out
