Summoner Rift Map Skins
Hey all, first post here.
I was always curious as to why there aren't any Summoner's Rift map skins, and now with the release of TFT (which DOES have map skins, although rather basic), it further perplexes me as to why Riot Games hasn't jumped on this potential GOLD MINE.
I, for one, am getting a bit tired of the usual map design, and was rather disappointed when they didn't do the winter event during the off-season like Riot usually does. Map skins would be a very easy money maker for Riot, as we know they love.
There used to be map skin websites you could use, but Riot essentially killed that off with one of the more recent seasons. I thought this would mean they would start making their own map skins, but still nothing to date. I know people will say, "Oh shush, its only a map." Yata-yata-yata.
They could make night themed skins for the late night grinders when the room they're in is pitch black, which would be a GREAT seller, and all they'd have to do is just adjust the lighting and stuff, and BOOM! MONEY! Example : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUNxXnYrPBM

There are SO MANY ideas that Riot Games could use for a potential map skin, and since its adjusting a whole MAP and not just a champion, they could, in theory, charge a bit more for them and do tiers for them as well like with skins (Epic, Legendary, Ultimate, etc) and charge more for the quality of the skins.
Again, people will just sat its only a skin/map, you shouldn't be worried about it, but I for one would LOVE a new map skin. And I'm sure MILLIONS of others would as well, and that's not even counting the casual players who would love this type of thing.
I also get that there are other issues that need to be addressed (Client not working good/laggy, frame drops in-game, balance LOL, and numerous other things) but this again would be something for the skin design team to work on who doesn't work on all those issues.
So, Riot Devs, if you read this, give is some thought! I'm sure there is a lot of potential here!
