In the updated Lux bio I'm not seeing any mention of her using her powers for a secret government Demacian mage organization. As far as I remember that used to be a part of her story, one that was pretty interesting IMO. Did this get retconned already, or do I remember this tidbit from a different source?? [sg-lux-2]
Woah ,what the hell happened? That even takes out some other stuff, like her meeting with Galio. What gives?
I think it pulled back in terms of time. Lux's bio as it stood was pretty much "complete"
She had gone through her heroes journey without much supplementery material. She accepted her powers, met Galio, discovered the Illuminators (which are still mentioned in the new bio, Lux just doesn't know yet)
I feel like this at least gives her somewhere to go. Lux before felt like Genji from Overwatch an interestin character but one that was already 100% developed and found their place in the world. She was a less interesting Taliyah from a narrative perspective, because Taliyah has much to learn and places to go but Lux is just sorta done. Now she has somewhere else to go.
I was much more upset about Garens bio changes taking the focus off of Garens' uncle dying and his reaction (which made him believe in Demacia) and strangely Jarvan IV getting captured is completely missing.
Her story still has her learn magic tips from the illuminators if that helps.
Demacia has no 'secret mage organization'. This has been apparent for 2 years now.
I have no idea why Galio has no mention in Luxes lore at all, seeing as the short story when they met is till canon. In fact, most of her old bio is still relevant, the only changes are her uncle got killed by a mage, and Illuminators are just a charitable religious order like a quazi red cross.
