Why is Rengar's problem size, not albinism?

Persecution of people with albinism - Wikipedia

This is just a random question for Riot Story devs I have been wondering for a while: When Rengar's story was updated, why was it determined he would be exiled from his tribe for small size, rather than for albinism? Rengar is clearly an albino - he has white fur and a light blue eye, testbook signs of albinism, and neither is natural coloration for a lion. Albinism is a sign of bad luck in several cultures (see link). Especially in a tribe of hunters based on stealth, it could be reasonably argued that albino coloration, which removes a lion's natural camouflage, is just as disadvantageous as being small, perhaps even more so. And finally, the idea that Rengar is small for his tribe is a little dissonant with the character model and in-game play - part of the reason Rengar feels powerful in-game is because he is depicted in lore and in-game as significantly larger than the human characters and models, and it is cool to play a character that is fast and stealthy as well as large - it adds an element of awe to playing as him. So to me, Rengar being exiled for albinism would be just as logical and also jibe more with the experience of playing him.

I'm sure this idea occurred to the story devs who re-wrote Rengar's story back when Xayah and Rakan were released, so I was wondering if we could get the explanation for why you chose to go with size instead as Rengar's problem?

Well, you can see a Killash at the top left of the vastaya page who is clearly not Rengar, and he is white-furred too. I believe they set white to be a natural color for Killash tribes. Also, Killash are mentioned to be huge vastaya: while Rengar is bigger than most humanoids, his model in-game would probably be his actual size (unlike Malphite or Aurelion Sol who are much larger).

Albinism means lack of pigmentation in body. So, his having blue eyes says he is not albino. His eyes have to be red to consider him as albino. Because if iris doesn't have pigment, red vessels give color to eyes, color of blood, the red.

Or maybe he doesn't have total albinism, though I doubt it. Because when you are albino, your fur color is white, not grey.

Rengar is Ajani?

Maybe his dad was Albino too, and that the Kiilash don't really care too much on the color of one's fur (and if Ponjaf, the fierce leader of the tribe, was just as albino, they would be too afraid to care). Also, I think it's a common ability for Kiilash to go invisible (as seen by Rengar of course), so fur-color doesn't play too much of a part maybe?

The thing is that the vastaya have limited shapeshifting abilities. Changing their size is likely not possible for them, but they should easily be able to change the color of their fur.

So even if Rengar was an albino he would have likely been able to just change his color.

Size is an important factor to consider when hunting. Albinism isn't.
