Has riot given any indication on which animal they were based on when they were ascended? If not, then could they? It would be really cool to see skins based on how looked originally. It would just be nice to know lorewise either way.

Aatrox: bat Rhaast: hammerhead or goat Varus: scorpion
Aatrox: Owl. He's awed by the majesty of flight and loves their regal faces.
Rhaast: Goat. He admires their appetite for chaos and enthusiasm for climbing anything.
Varus: Human. He got it on a technicality ("humans are animals, guys") and everyone looked at him funny for a _ long _ time.
They should made a comic about them! Probably number of darkins is too low for that because they would have to show them all at once... at least two more 😅
I like to imagine Ascended Varus as something sleek and slender but kinda elegant, like a gazelle or something.
I feel like Rhaast was a moose.
This Slayed darkin image in the universe might be the former form of Aatrox.
Their bodies are very similar, and they both have horns and wings. I'd like to believe that it was the majestic glory of his former form with angelic wings and white body/armor.
