Jax I feel is one of the last remaining champs to receive love, his model is horribly outdated, and looks like a purple blob, does any rioter's have any words on a potential jax vu?
most champ's have a skin at least to compensate for outdated base model's s such as singed and pantheon but all of jax's skin are terrible
I certainly agree he is in dire need of a VU, but hes far from the last ( 
to name a few)
It's funny how people seem to keep forgetting that Singed has already had his model updated. :P
Anyways, Riot don't do standalone VUs anymore, in order to maximize efficiency of resources like time, number of artists and designers, etc. Nowdays, it's either full VGUs or Roster Updates (they have two teams working separately on the former- One currently on Yorick and the other on Warwick- and another team for Roster Updates).
Regardless, I can't recall who, but it was probably Reav3 who said that they want to give him a Gangplank-level Update eventually.
Actually Singeds model did get a VU already.
He might lack animations and a huge VO,but his model is up to the current standards.
Also I think he is currently not even on the list for a VGU.
and ability icons please. His passive icon is him fishing. like how does this have anything to do with a relentless assault? or increased atk speed??
Jax's skins are amazing and his model looks weird because Jax is an unknown thing who hits people with a darn lamp post. Combine that with him being very old and you get "a purple blob" that i think looks fine ingame.
There are also a few champions whose in-game models are noticeably different from their default splash art. Eve 
being a big one, and Veigar 
being a small one.
I hope they do it soon like an out of the blue VU, Similar to how Shen wasn't really mention to be being done and then just boom her Shen.
Also they technically already have a design in mind with him if you look at A New Dawn cinematic.

I agree wholeheartedly that all champs mentioned in this post need new VU's. Especially , however I reckon if Riot just makes the effort to change his nose and perhaps give him Yordle ears then I think fans would be happy until there's a proper update. But I would put my money of 
needing it more then almost anyone else, but I'm taking into account the fact that he needs more of a full on re-launch rather then a simple visual update.
Secondly, this is totally depending on what the future holds for champ updates, but personally I would say 
deserves the next VU. The guys abilities don't need changing (well maybe a lil if need be) and he's got the Targon lore. So doing an update would give writers at Riot an excuse to further explain his story for the better (figures crossed) considering not everyone was so happy about it. But who knows, if his VU turns out totally badass, then maybe fans will forgive and forget.
Jax's model isn't so bad. Up close maybe but zoomed out it's more acceptable than a lot of other champs.
