Will League Of Legends ever get a Story?

Any chance Riot will work on the league of legends story? I would really enjoy reading bought the multi verse and time lines that all the skins come from, and why the champions are really in league.

(((One of the better stories with no random BS Malphite This guy has a reason I don't play him but I like the start )))

  1. Who runs the League?
  2. Why do the champions fight knowing it delays their individual goals?
  3. The Void, Monolith, Shurima , and ECT.

You are kinda late on that. The league of legends has been retconned,it doesn't exist anymore, gameplay is now completely disconnected from the lore.

Who runs the League?

No one; League's not in the lore anymore. Used to be the Institute of War and the Summoners.

Why do the champions fight knowing it delays their individual goals?

Used to be political or they thought the League would help them achieve their goals. Of course that's not the case anymore since the League's not a thing in the lore anymore.

The league is retconed. New stories are in progress. In the mean while, check out Burning Tides, Shadow and Fortune, A Good Death. Also Hec, Khalista, Thresh, Mord, Karthus, GP, MF, TF, Graves, Kindred, Azir, Xerath and Illaoi's (soon) full introductions. Also keep your eyes open for more Shuriman introductions early 2016.

On a side note. At first I thought it was just a few individuals who didn't get the memo of the lore retcon and updates. But after seeing many similar posts to this one asking "champions join the league?" or "why are the new bios so short?" I realize that it's a failure on Riot's part not being able to convey the memo effectively and that I'm in the minority of people who checks the boards daily.

IMO, the best way for Riot to raise awareness about the new lore is to make an audiobook type video with visuals for the big lore events on their YouTube channel. Like they did for the Shurima event. It's more time and effort consuming, but right now, I'm getting the feeling that very few people actually read the lore.
