Warwick Armor Art Question

I'm trying to draw Warwick and was wondering what material his armor was made out of. It looks to me like gold, but I'm not entirely sure.

It's actually Bananonite, a hardy alchemic material created by incredibly dense cellulose crystals. The chief ingredient in it's creation: Bananas. Why to stick it to Soraka, Warwick.
I imagine that WW's armour is made out of Bronze.
uhm gold isn't a good metal to make armor out of, it's soft(er than most metals) and its price is quite high.
I'm guessing since Warwick used to be an alchemist, at some point they thought his armor could be made out of gold to make it stand out and show his prowess in the field (alchemy), but in all honestly gold armor is the worst choice someone could make armour-wise xD against Brand or Annie it'd melt in seconds! and you don't wanna wear armor that melts, believe me xD.
That being said, I think metals can be covered in gold or colored to match gold's color, there's also alloys of gold and other metals though I don't think any are particularly tough therefore not good for armour.
We have to consider also that Runeterra is not real life xD and there could be some gold-like metal that's hard enough as to make armor out of, maybe it's imbued with magical powers even (minecraft's golden armor is better suited to receive enchantments for example, though it's resistance is lower than any of the other armors).
Visually it looks like gold, so yeah...
Gold-plated steel would be my guess.
