Taric's Lore Explained?

As a main, I have some issues with his lore. I need closure. I need to know WHAT OATH HE BROKE! What did he do? Did he abandon Demacia mid-battle? Did he cheat on !? Was he just too Outrageous? Gimme answers! I absolutely love this character and would love some backstory on his backstory. Thank you!
