Sparkly Statue Salute

When new Summoner's Rift came to Team Builder, I noticed that when you walked into lane the towers kind of "saluted" you by shooting a shiny sparkle into the sky whilst you walked into lane. Now when you go into lane, the towers still have the afterglow you get from after they shoot their shot, but there's no more salute.

Was it removed on purpose or did this just somehow happen when it rolled onto all the gamemodes?
