Azir is actually Taric's Brother

Now we all know the Gem Knight™ is from a distant land. Could this land be Shurima? Taric says"Magic will ruin this land". In the new shurima lore Xerath used to magic and destroyed Shurima in the short version. But here is where it gets really interesting. We all know that Finds his enemies to be glass waiting to be Smashed. What does say? Xerath "His enemy" is just sand waiting to be stepped on. Sand becomes glass. Feet smash glass. is just glass waiting to be smashed. This may be a coincidence, but this isn't. What is on outfit? Gems. is the only member of Gem Magic "Other than his Dad". has gems that give him power. He is outrageous. is outrageous. and are brothers.

I actually like this theory, but there's a problem. Taric could be a descendant of Azir, but unless he is immortal, they couldn't possibly be brothers. Remember that the cataclysmic event that destroyed Shurima happened a very very very long time ago.

However it is possible that Taric did not experience time the same way the rest of Runeterra does. He was after all "erratically summoned to Runeterra from a faraway world," according to his lore. So it's possible that he was summoned out of his own time.

Then again though, there is the fact that Taric had been made to study "herbs, plants, and animal medicines," which probably weren't as accessible from the sandy Shuriman deserts.

"His friend uttered a silent word. Azir watched himself shatter like glass, exploding into motes of sand." Also from Azir's lore, which may have something to do with Taric's taunt.

But yes, I quite enjoyed reading this theory as well. Nice job connecting the dots, Cliza.

Well, Taric's retcon incoming (maybe). I mean his champion rework is soon, yeah? So they will probably change his lore at least a little. Maybe they will do something with this.
