Who would win in war, Demacia or Noxus

Pretty sure that if it were easy or clear cut, it wouldn't be a major story element.

Depends on how you look at it. On the one hand, Demacia has an army that has always been greater in numbers than that of Noxus due to conscripting. On the other hand, Noxus's warriors are substantially more skilled and arguably worth more than a single Demacian soldier.

Then we look at the magic side of things; Demacia actually has a fair amount of light based magic going around, while Noxus has been way more averse to bringing their magic out to the battlefield. That doesn't mean they don't have it, but again this is potentially a quantity vs quality measure here.

Then there's other variables like Demacian horses vs Noxian war hounds, the kind of support they have for their armies in terms of medics and supplies, and super-powers such as the half dragon and the undead monstrosity . This isn't even talking about army strategies and soldier mentality. i'd personally give it to Noxus due to the quality of their soldiers and the fact that I recon Sion would win in a fight vs Shyvana, but eh, what do I know?

The thing is this is the BIG lore question, which may never be answered. Noxus and Demacia are ancient rivals, and are always fighting back and forth, winning some and losing some on both sides. I think the fact that they seem so evenly matched is what keeps their eternal struggle so interesting, because both are constantly looking for an advantage over the other in the struggle. However... I had to vote Noxus, even though Demacia is my faction of choice between the two. The reason I voted Noxus is because I'm pretty sold on the LoL conspiracy theory that , Prince of Demacia, is actually dead (or at least secretly being held captive by Noxus), and that the Jarvan we know is actually posing as him (being a master of trickery and disguise). If this is true then whenever her heinous plot (whatever it is) comes to fruition, Demacia will likely be royally screwed (pun completely intended). Neither, two equally opposing forces...they have been battling for their ideologies for as long as Aatrox is known for. Sure one gets the upper hand on the other for a century or two but in the end one cant exist without the other.

It would be a battle of attrition. Demacia is strong and unquestionably loyal to one another in a way that wold make North Korea cream their collective pants. They are militaristic and believe they stand for all that is good in the world, and will die to protect that view.

Noxus, on the other hand, simply thinks they are the strongest, as their society supports personal strength over strength of the collective. They are willing to play dirty and they don't go down easy.

Overall they are of similar strength, but each focus on different areas. Personally I think Demacia is better at straight up ground warfare where as Noxus is best with surprise attacks and subterfuge. Demacia, again in my opinion, would be stronger if they manage to avoid these tactics, and would force Noxus into a no-win scenario. It would end with mutually assured destruction.

Demacia, mainly because that city-state is allied with Ionia, Freljord (Ashe side), Bandle City and Piltover.
