The New Sona Skin

SO! We all know that Sona will be getting a Odyssey Skin. First look at the cinematic and I WAS AMAZED at how graceful, and gorgeous Sona is. Then. After seeing the leaked gameplay trailer of the new event and skins. I was hit by a truck named DISAPPOINTMENT. Jinx, Kayn, Ziggs, Malphite and Yasuo's skin were pretty good, matched up with the ones in the cinematic, but the SONA ONE OMG. The particles for the skin are so PRETTY and UGH I LOVE IT SO MUCH but the model just looks so bulky compared to how she looked like in the cinematic. She has these things near her head which just makes her look not so graceful but more bulky. Honestly, my biggest problem with the skin is how her legs (and consequently her dress) look. I know Sona never really had legs to begin with, but really, the way she looks with this skin is pretty...Meh? It's not bad, but IMO, it really isn't good either.

I think they need to drop the head/shoulder gear and brighten up the robes.

It's a shame, really. Her Splash and the over-all design look SO GOOD, but her model is so old and she definitely needs work. It's a shame she probably won't get it for a while.

This skin really highlights how old Sona and her animations are. I know she doesn't need it, but Sona could definitely do with a visual upgrade.

Also her weird big blue shoulder floaties in this skin really need to go. They just make her look so bulky and cluttered for no reason.

Seeing the comparison, Ody Sona looks like Riot should have used some of E. Lux's features (from Water). Namely, how to place that disc near her head. The capes I think are fine as is (and look pretty fantastic imo). The main problem with that skin is the fact their is no animation with her lower half. She just looks stiff. This mainly due to the fact all of her other non-ultimate skins use the gown animation, which this skin doesn't have thus making her very stiff and odd. Also, I have no idea where that extra cloth came from for the area around the disc. Just makes the skin look weird and bulky (although, I am sad that she is missing her signature pigtails). Overall, there are a lot of Sona elements missing here (gown and mainly the pigtails, although I am NOT opposed to the hood look).

My only confusion is where that second... thing around her shoulder is from.

It's not in the cinematic.

I think the model looks clean as hell, she just has extra shoulder floaty things. haven't seen it animated though.
