Where Did This Zed AD Siphon Thing Even Come From?

Is he a wraith, a vampire, or a mind flayer or something? Does he have a kekkei genkai involving strength draining? Do his ableist views give him this superpower just because philosophy? I don't get it, where's the train of thought and what station did it leave from?

I think its simply a boost to Zeds ego based on what he was able to accomplish, making him more self confident and giving him more strenght.

Also I just noticed how this makes him pretty good against Jhin(since Jhin just stacks up lots of AD,because of his ability to gain AS),which is kinda fitting.

Maybe he draws power from the shadow of his victim?

Design wise though, game play and lore aren't always mutually exclusive. (Fioras ult, or just Aurelion Sol in general)

In martial arts, it is a common practice to use your enemy's force against them. If they run at you, catch them and toss them in a way that forces them to tumble forward.

If they punch at you, catch and flip. Their forward momentum makes it easier to throw them onto the ground.

He is most likely using the "dark arts" that grants him the supernatural ability to siphon the strength of those he slain.

They are called "shadow" techniques for a reason.
