For the most mechanically intense adc in most people's opinion, she has an extremely dry backstory, no offense. I've read all the lore, the Taliyah short story was really interesting, it'd be cool to see a lore update for her
Ignoring my own bias on Vayne's difficulty, Vayne's long lore has yet to be made so there is still a lot of room for development. I imagine they are going to keep the night hunter aspect of her personality.
It's not that Vayne needs better lore. It's more like she needs more lore. Just like a large number of the roster, Vayne has little lore to go off of.
