I believe that if i am going to truly enjoy this game i need to know about the characters. I love the characters because they aren't flat characters or without motivation....but some are.

He just doesn't have anything close to what i would call a back story or anything even close to telling us his motivation. I even went back and checked and all it says is basically.

He is dead, kinda. He has a shovel.

That's it.

I want a lore that shows me who they are like Braum Or Jax's lore. They have great lore and i want all champions to have a lore that i enjoy reading.

Well originally Yorick was fighting in the LoL because him and his entire family has been forgotten and he wanted people to remember his name so he will never be forgotten.

Now there is no Institute of War and its literally just a bunch o random people with powers wailing on each other cause they want to.

I would recommend reading the JoJ for yorick

Jax' lore will get retconned. Considering Riots recent history with retcons you shouldn't get your hopes up. Riot has a tendency to disregard the old character when retconning.

Edit: Did you read Yoricks judgement? Should fill out his background a bit more if you haven't yet, though it may be retconned too.

OBSERVATION

Yorick finds the mountain's entrance after tireless searching. He has learned about the League in fragments; the unusual nature of death on the Fields of Justice intrigues him. He has no interest in games or politics, but a selfish impulse compels him.

He is hunched, built to purpose, strong. He clutches a shovel always – it is this grip that has held him to this world. He is at once terrifying and pitiful, an aged corpse which cannot rest. He ambles to the space designed for his Judgment, stone doors at the edge of the mountain. The darkness wraps around him as he enters. Its color suits him.

Yorick was cursed with undeath after dying without an heir to his family line, I think. That sounds like enough for me!
