Mordekaiser Shadow and Fortune or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Kill Garen

Shadow and Fortune | League of Legends

So I was reading through all of the Shadow and Fortune entries today, and I finally got to Mordekaiser. I don't know if this has been posted or not already (I couldn't find it. I'm sure it has been though, somewhere), but after reading through it in entirety, I'm wondering if the knight that Mord killed here is just some nameless Demacian knight or if it's someone a little more well known Garen

(I mean, if the knight that Mordekaiser killed ISN'T Garen, then it's some silly Garen copycat with Garen's kit. And if any old Demacian soldier can have Garen's kit, then what makes Garen so special as a champion? Does every Demacian soldier have this special armor that blocks damage? Sorry, ranting a bit. Back on the subject....)

The entry doesn't go into details of the appearance of the Knight that Mordekaiser kills and brings back as a ghost, but it does give just a couple of hints:

"The knight’s armor shone brightly for a second, then returned to its normal, mundane form, leaving him unharmed by Mordekaiser’s necromantic sorcery.

'Demacian steel,' sneered Mordekaiser. 'It will not save you.'"

"The knight spun away..."

So until it's confirmed otherwise, I'm going with Mord killed Garen, which would surely cause more of a stir than I'm seeing so far on the forums. I dunno.

Garen is the captain of the Dauntless Vanguard. He is just, honourful, dutiful and confident. He knows his place, his duty and his cause. He is what any demacian soldier aspires to be. He is a symbol for Demacian values.

This noble knight was likely a member of the Demacian army. A soldier aspiring to be as great as the greatest. A copycat, if you must put it crudely. Demacia cannot ignore such wrongdoing, such evil. Once they find out where the coward is hiding, then Mordekaiser will know Demacian Justice!

It's not Garen, it's just some random Demacian knight. However, we did find out that Demacian Steel protects against necromantic magic, which is interesting.

Garen "You killed my father!"

Mordekaiser "Indeed.. No Star Wars quote here sorry"

On a more serious note, he might have been the head of the Demacan warriors or even just Garen's master.

i sort of feel the "bloodline of the king" has some secrets just as Jarvan's blood made sion reanimate. Demacia and its roots may have something to do with the end of Mordekaisers empire, and maybe Noxus has its roots from the remmnants of Mordekaiser's empire. hell even the black rose's goal can be planning to make a second mordekaiser to take the throne of Noxus. remember the Noxus slogan? "forever strong!" ....sorta gives you the creeps now. Like what sort of "forever" do they mean?

It's a knight, he might not even be Demacian, he just has their armor. Apparently Demacian arms are sold and highly valued, according to Rafen in the new Shadow and Fortune chapter.

If a character like Garen were to be killed off, there would be a lot more fanfare and circumstance.
