Jax is actually the real Baron.
A long long time ago Kitae said that Vilemaw was way weaker on the Twisted Treeline than he is in the actual lore, because if he was that powerful he'd instantly kill us all for even being on the map.
I subscribe to the idea that this is the same; It's the real Baron Nashor, but it doesn't represent him in his true glory. Baron eats Tibbers for breakfast, as seen in A Twist of Fate, lets not forget.
probobly, since summoners no longer exist so there is no excuse for it to be a clone. Of course, baron in the lore is much more powerful, just like jax is less powerful in game than in the lore, as is xerath and such. I still think that baron is kog maw grown up that has been sent back in time by zilean.
