World runes, petricide and etc

We saw Ryze hiding world runes in a tomb that was mostly made of petricide. From the history of Sylas, we know that the petricide does not just disable magic, but absorbs it.

Do you think a stone in this tomb can absorb the magic of runes, etc, and if Sylas can sense magic so well, and use petrside as a conductor of magic...

Possible massive magic cataclysm incoming? Just speculation.
