About Twisted Fate's New Lore...
I actually really enjoy his new lore. They went pretty in depth and bothered to include his recent interactions during the story of the Bilgewater event. I did notice one thing though--
They completely removed the entire section of his lore about exactly how he gained his magic.
"Born to the nomadic river-folk of the Serpentine, the boy was taught the magic of the cards at an early age and soon learned what it was to be hated. "
That is the only time "magic" is mentioned. The entire thing about him turning in Graves to gamble on the fact that the scientist could give him the magic he longed for-- all gone. Now it leaves a large hole wondering exactly HOW TF has the explosive, cutting, stunning, and teleporting cards he does have, or the powers he has that utilizes them in cast. Is TF's entire tribe able to do the same things he can? Teleport at will and all of that?
In addition to that, it makes it seem like Graves' reason for hating him was much less warranted-- I could imagine him hating him for life for turning him in for his own profit. But in the new lore, it was a simple mistake where he got caught and left behind, even though Tobias Fate came back several times to try to free him.
The new lore is wonderful in its own right, and I'm glad it's a much fuller lore than before. But with the new lore, there were other key parts lost. I wonder if Riot will address any of these in a small tweak or anything in the future.
