Now I know a lot of people have given their thoughts on the splash art, so I thought I might as well throw in my two cents. This is not an article taking sides, I will just present what I like or don't like about it and discuss/debate popular opinions. I do have one big problem with it, but that's at the end because its a side-note. https://image.prntscr.com/image/VrOpBIx_SnSOvN0ikmvzsQ.png https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xE76BZqX9BU/WcZPbc7LanI/AAAAAAABFHU/vgNqoezHO2YYWkIPsM_bhVq6R1IbM_KNwCLcBGAs/s1600/DKZqT2NWsAAKRf1%2B%25281%2529.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79zen4ckIK4&amp=&ab_channel=LeagueofLegends-Singapore%26Malaysia I'm gonna assume people have watched the trailer. Also, just gonna point out that she is clearly based on Succubi, which will be the conclusion for a lot of points. Alright so here we go.

First off lets go with the face because that seems popular. A lot of people agree that the eyes in the trailer are a lot more unnerving than the splash, and they're right. Looking at that face in the splash doesn't make me want to run away, it just weirds me out. It looks like an "Oops, did I do that?" With the cute cat eyes, the dimples, and the oddly thick lips, I fully get why people don't like it. However most people don't realize that this facial expression fits perfectly with that of a succubus. Now because this is League, I highly doubt Evelyn will have a whole "sexual intercourse with sleeping men" deal that most Succubi follow. However, it's clearly obvious that these features are meant to lure her victims into a false sense of security. She's basically a a demonic Ahri (so just normal Ahri lol).

The statement above kinda debunks every argument as to why her splash isn't "scary" enough. If she were terrifying to look at, she would be a terrible seducer. The fact that people say that this face isn't terrifying is the whole point of having it, so good job Splash Artist. You pulled a fast one over the majority of the boards, but not me. Alright, so lets focus in on more detail, but, since we know that her appearance in her splash is a facade, this should be easy.

"Her expression looks dumb. It's not scary, just looks like she's hooker" This is a fair point. I also don't particularly care for it. To me it looks jarring, but not bad. The proportions are excessive to exemplify her, uh, seductiveness. From the expression, I take it that she's having fun, and she's just casually playing around and killing people, which she probably does frequently. "The eyes were better in the Facebook reveal, why did they change it?" Because she was clearly using Agony's Embrace (her R) in the Facebook reveal. Anyone who pays attention to old/current Evelynn can look at her R and see its just her face with red eyes, Same as the updated splash art for old Evelynn. When she's chill she has normal, or now I guess cat eyes. Now this fits the scene that she's in (the whole succubus facade thing), but if she were still clawing him to death, you can bet she wouldn't have irises. "Her dimples look weird." Yes, they're supposed too. They are supposed to seem cute, but, since they are over the top, they come off as unsettling. "Her lips are too big." I wouldn't say too big, just noticeably big. A succubus wants men (or women). It's lot easier when their lips are super attractive. Also, I get the whole finger touching lips is weird. Again, that's the point.

Now I know people will have a cow about Evelynn not using her ult in her splash, as that's when she's most terrifying, but there's no real reason to. Not many champs have their ult in their base splash. Even Urgot , Jhin , and Elise are just chillin in their splashes. Also, despite her efforts, she fails to conceal her massive spikes, betraying her true character, which I think is cooler from a character development standpoint.

But for my final point, and my biggest complaint, is how terrible are those guards in the splash? They either witness or walk into their king's dead body facing the back of a hot demon, and they don't move into a formation to protect the queen? Who the heck trained them? Worst royal guards ever.

Alright, have a nice day!
