You get to pick your champion and level up while exploring the world!

You get to choose skins that you already bought on your LoL account!

Awesome story mode for each champion!

Unlockables, events, clan battles and stunning boss fights!

Make friends and enemies along the way! Will you break your deal with Tahm Kench in order to help Ezreal find an ancient relic?

Visit Runeterra and it's habitants in an open world environment!

Damn I wish this game existed. Have a nice day, friends! [sg-miss-fortune]

Thought we were talking tabletop and you piqued my interest. Then I saw otherwise. Damn you.

Having all the skins transfer to an RPG game would be impossible if you are using a different engine.

I want a card game and a fighting game tbh. Riot could pioneer the MOBA card game if done properly. cmon man.

Just imagine the exploration possibilities!

Walking down a Demacian street. exploring a Ionian temple. watching a festival in Noxus main Squares. wondering the deserts of Shurima and rolling down a sand hill. buying supplies from a Freljordian merchant overlooking Ironspike mountains. streets of Zaun! Bilgwater docks!

Damn thats gonna be good.

Having a story mode for every character might be a little difficult. Each one would have to be compelling, and most annoyingly - unique. That’s over 120 different plots, yikes!

It might be more reasonable to allow the creation of a customisable character that can explore different regions of Runeterra. Each region could then have its own plots and side quests relating to that region’s Champions - like, Ionia’s main story could be the invasion of Noxus, but there could be sidequests relating to other Champions that don’t seem to have as much to do with that plot, like Ahri, Jhin, Syndra, etc.

That’d also allow different regions to embody different themes. Like, washing up on the shores of the Shadow Isles, definite horror theme.

This would be such a great idea to let players explore and interact with places in Runeterra, it’d be hella immersive and give people a way better idea of what the different regions are like. What customisations are initially available to your character could also depend on their region of origin; so, if they were from Shurima, they’d have traditional Shuriman outfits, etc. It’d give a much better “feel” for the type of people actually inhabiting these different parts of the world.

Oooh, and every October the Harrowing could strike a random region, and nobody knows where it’s gonna hit.

Alright I’m getting carried away. Awesome idea!

Can I purge innocent people in the nightly streets of Zaun as Urgot?

I too, was thinking earlier about how a League of Legends single player RPG could be amazing

Partner with CD Projekt Red. They take their time and do it right. I'd expect it in 5-6 years

I see everyone saying there are too many champs and you CANT have stories for all of them.... I dunno though, Dynasty Warriors is working it's way up in roster number and shows how you can intertwine then same levels into multiple characters stories.

Also, going to second tabletop game love.

And just wondering when Riot will finally make some other game and stop trying to have a dozen cooks fiddling with one pot.

Maybe not individual champions but the ability to CREATE your own.

Want to be a Marksman or a Tank? Be a hypermobile assassin or a Tank?

Maybe even a faction system and actual in-game League champions being essential NPC's that interact and assign you missions and stuff.

Another mmorpg to ruin my already unexciting social life again, That would be awesome.

Digielf5/8/2018, 3:54:44 PM2 votes

Nah an open world RPG wouldnt work with the ingame champions, it should have its own summoners/character costumization

This game is near impossible tho.

Story for each champion? Nope.

If someone ever makes this I'd gladly play it. Imagine a whole skill tree of cancerous wind techniques xD

DoktorKaiser5/8/2018, 10:07:50 PM1 votes

That would be a bit hard to make. All I ask for now is for me to play the boss battles against all the league champs in Dark Souls mode. Of course RITO would have to cooperate with Fromsoft but that would be so epic, I think it would fit perfectly since just like Dark Souls bosses all the champs have specific and original visuals and abilities. What do you guys think ?

Whyte Lyon5/8/2018, 11:09:07 PM1 votes

Oh what's that, you want to RP as a Vastaya and go explore Demacia, or rather any one of the numerous regions with a significant lack of magic? Yeah that's just fine and dandy, no questioning that at all...

[zombie-brand-facepalm]

This thread is filled with fucking idiots.

Whenever I think of a league of legends RPG I imagine it being something similar in style to the Witcher or dragon age, the story doesn't have to take place in the current period, perhaps in the shadow isles before it was the shadow isles and the events that took place there or perhaps during the rune wars (not sure if it's still canon).

I'm hoping that one day I'll be able to play an rpg set in the world of runeterra.
