Why didn't Ekko...

JUST PICK UP A PIPE/STICK/ANYTHING AND JAVELIN HURL IT WITH A WARNING MESSAGE ATTACHED?

It's not like there were any buildings to obstruct the trajectory(the guy was running on ROOFTOPS), and he could've easily perfected throwing form and aim with his INFINITE REWINDS. Like man, I get that your adrenaline was pumping, trying to save your friend, but after failing the third or fourth time, YOU SHOULD REALIZE THERE ARE MORE OPTIONS THAN RUNNING THE WHOLE WAY. If you can perpetuate the present, you actually have the option to stop and think.

Why can't, for once, someone with a shred of creativity get the time-warping powers? Tragic failure/claw-your-way-through stories are emotionally moving-- But there's an entire universe of unexplored possibilities outside of what's been redone over and over again. Success through demonstrated calculation is just as inspiring as will-power through inevitable defeat and despair.

from what i could tell his friend was already dying by the time he realized he needed to help and he can't go back in time far enough to stop it. After all the whistling guy killed him and he sees him at the start of his rewind every time.

"Time is like a string, you can go forward and backward but you cannot create another string."

I dunno but the more I think about it the more I'm convinced Ekko is an criminal.

His friend was already badly hurt,he needed every second just to arrive before his friend died.He found the shortest route to his friend(there is a reason why the comic starts at rewind number 79,because he most likely tried other routes first),any action he could have done would have costed him valuable time, even if it was just a few seconds.
