Regarding Nautilus

Maybe it really doesn't matter with the retcon, and the game seeming farther and farther from the lore, but I've always been curious about what the ooze was that converted Nautilus. With the glow that Naut has, along with the transformative effect and feeling of veiled horror that Naut's lore implies, it seems kind of like a Shadow Isles thing, but if that's the case, why did he defend Bilgewater? Speculation Ahoy!

Off Topic, with Nautilus seemingly very focused on vengeance and revenge, maybe some special interactions with Khalista? Rito pls?

He may defend Bilgewater because it may be one of the few things he remembers from his past. Perhaps he was a Bilgewater denizen? Other than that theory, he would feel most comfortable at that city state because he was a sailor.

Naut may get an interaction with Kalista, but don't get your hopes up.

Nautilus is still a citizen of Bilgewater. The fact that he was under water during the harrowing might have saved him in some way. I mean looking at the harrowing video it looks like the undead still need to drag the dead back to the islands,but they might have overlooked nautilus,because he was underwater and thus he was merely transformed by the black mist,but not taken back to the shadow isles.
