Yeah right, thats because you ignore the obvious implications of the Demacia and Noxus conflict.
They've been at it for years, and they've banged heads over every single city state. They're the biggest engines of geopolitical change in Runeterra.
Also they're both in a constant state of Flux. Jarvan IV is trying to right the moral center of Demacia who has shown to be pretty askew, creating traumatic cases like Lux and Vayne , rejecting people based off of class like Quinn , or even just blood like Shyvana. To think he's just going to do that without resistance is foolish.
Meanwhile, in Noxus, there is a power struggle as Swain performed a Coup De'tat, and the Du Couteau line (Katarina, Cass and Talon) are just a heartbeat away from the gallows (or Draven's blades) because of their allegiance with the Darkwill line. Swain isn't just going to try and kill them, no, he's a diabolical mastermind that will want to manipulate them. For what? Thats up to you to think about...
Then you have the mysterious Black Rose, and its clear that Swain's manipulations of Jarvan and the IoW that the Black Rose has a larger reach than just Noxus, a more international and sinister web. As Demacia and Noxus have been so tangled in conflict, its not hard to imagine the Black Rose operates within Demacia as well.
I mean.
Come on.
How is that not intense?
Void and Shadow isles interactions are cool, but predictable. Shadow Isles just wants you to die for different reasons (Bliss, Enslavement, Torture, etc.) The Void just wants seconds. Not really compelling, if not predictable. They work better as plot movers and/or antagonists rather than protagonists or characters.
P.S. A lot of comments on this thread just make me sad. Missing the whole point of the thread with this bland, uninspiring shipping debates. Shipping is fine and all but shouldn't get in the way of lore.
