So when is the new summoners rift update coming out

Awhile back ago there was an announcement of an update to summoners rift and I was wandering if this is ever going to come out. Because there have been no notices of it or even anything telling us it is coming out. So I was just wondering if this was going to come out or not.

The answer Riot has constantly given to this question is: when it's ready. They're still making changes even now, months after the announcement. They want to make sure they get it right, and I, for one, would like the release to be bug-free upon its release.
