Who here own the Blight Crystal Varus skin and isn't quite happy with the in-Game look. Don't get me wrong, the splash art looks beautiful!! But in-game I don't like how he looks Grey not Blue. But the splash art it's Blue. I would really love a Update on that skin so he looks more Blue in Game.
Honestly the splash shows some very grey skin. He has glowy blue scars and eyes, but aside from that he's grey.
Varus is also starting to show his age, as far as art is concerned. He was the first champion to be released with only one skin, as well as the last to be released without a recall animation, and the difference in quality between that time and now is quite noticeable. If forced to draw a line at the spot where quality improved (this is not exact because the trend is pretty gradual), I might say that every champion from Kha'Zix onward has been notably better than older champions' releases. Every release skin since then (even back to Draven, if I'm honest) has had different particles, and most have new sounds as well.
Perhaps there will come a time when Riot makes a pass at older skins to bring them up to par with the current quality bar for their price point. There's certainly some old Legendary skins that are missing some features that now define that skin tier, but the issue is also present in tiers going down to 750. I'd say Blight Crystal Varus might be up for some particle/sound tweaks to help bring out his crystalline theme better.
