Morgana...a darkin?

I've been seeing some commotion about this and I think it's an interesting theory! I mean, darkins use black magic and have a lot to do with Runeterra. Morgana lore quote: "Morgana is a potent mistress of suffering and the black arts" Right now, Morgana's region is set as Runeterra (too bad the region page doesn't exist though). Plus, Morgana wasn't always "evil", also stated in her lore. Maaaaaaaaaaaaybe the reason she went against Kayle cause she was corrupted or possessed by something. hmmmmmmmm "Once a being of grace and light, she was ripped from her kind during an ancient conflict that broke her soul, turning her into the cruel tormentor she is today." juicy stuff

Aatrox makes Morgana sound kind of like a martyr,- she has bound herself to the earth and flesh, this would presume she previously was not, she was a transcendent being. So why exactly? Maybe she's trying to protect something, even the world itself.

The concept of a bound sorceress reminds me of the Fair Lady in Dark Souls.

With lore changes it would be possible she was a darkin before they became darkin, assuming they werent always living weapons and the weapons are a type of prison.

Aatrox' quotes towards Morgana suggest that she was a transcendental being that bound herself to a mortal form.

Although Darkin were transcendental beings at one point, they were by far not the only ones. Maybe Morgana is Darkin, maybe she is from Mount Targon or maybe something else entirely.

Aatrox' quotes towards Kayle mention the ascension ritual. If Kayle already is ascended or still trying to become ascended is unclear.

Let me show you your error, Kayle! You are not worthy of ascension! You, are not worthy of the worms!

Die, Kayle, knowing you potential will never be reached.

I think the Morgana/Kayle rework is going for the "god becoming mortal, mortal becoming god" duo thematic.

The way riot is retconning things... I'm going to say she'll either wind up as a demon (which would cause problems with her relationship with kayle) or she and Kayle will be moved to Mt targon. Maybe Kayle will be a sun aspect and Morganna will be reworked as a moon aspect.

I'm not saying this is how I'd do things or this is the right way to rework them, I'm just thinking how rito would do it and this seems like it'd fit their current mold.

i dont think so ... darkin usually have weapons related to them now idk if a mage darkin would work but i would love the idea of a darkin using a magical scepter

Morgana is a Darkin I can back it up. First, her Passive is Rhaast's one and her name is spelt morgAnA with the double A as the note suggested.

I'm personally not thinking she is one.

Even if she triggers what we think is a Darkin only line on Urgot & Swain, I think she's still something else.

Since Darkin use weapons to bind to their host, I don't really feel like Riot will ADD a weapon to her VGU as they haven't really done anything like that when doing those. Especially considering she's a smaller update.
