no he's an orphan, it says it in the little bit of lore we got, even though it's small it clearly says he runs around with the other "lost children of zaun", which suggests orphanage

it's unclear why ekkos parents would be targeted tho

Ekko's color text shows that his parents are still alive. Just because he has friends with Orphans doesn't mean he is one, his parents are usually too busy to notice.

color text? you mean the lullaby thing? that clearly took place before he mastered the chronobreak, why else would he have run away to be a vigilante if his parents didn't die? why else would camille call him an orphan, aside from ajuna, we know nothing of ekkos experiences with death, and one of his quotes is, "time can't heal ALL wounds" which could imply some deeper loss than just Ajuna

he also says, "every rule needs a break" and "all actions have consequences" but as far as we know he hasn't done anything quite illegal which leads me to believe he's talking about his parents

so if his parents broke a rule it's very possible that camille could've seen them as a flaw in the system and murdered them in front of ekkos eyes, though the evidence is vague, it's all we have to work with at the moment

Considering how he kept using his time machine in the story, I'll have to disagree.

Remember that Ekko is basically a kid with superpowers, he doesn't need dead parents to motivate him to be a vigilante, he's got motivation from losing a lot of his friends.

Honestly it doesn't make sense unless Camille is assuming Ekko is an orphan, which doesn't fit because the line implies she killed the parents.

I feel like this is a bug.

Actually, he stole the second hand of the Piltover's Clock (its the "sword bat thing" that he uses).

However, Riot mentioned that the parents of Ekko are alive in his QaA.

I think it is likely that someone on the wiki-page simply messed up and put the quote to the wrong champion.

Only one person is uploading all the champion quotes, so you may forgive him if he doesnt get something right from time to time, even during the "WIP" period of a champions page creation.
