Is League "Just a Game"? (Story/Lore, NOT Gameplay/Players/etc.)

*This board has nothing to do with the phrase "it's just a game", I created it to talk about the story line of the League of Legends, Runeterra, Noxus, Demacia, Denoxia, blah blah blah....

I've always liked games and books with a lot of story. When I first joined League, I had no idea what I was doing. It was (at first) a random, difficult game I had downloaded on my computer. I continued to quickly level and learn more about how to play, skills, tactics, and all of the things you need to learn in order to be good. I found it kind of hard since I joined before the Intro difficulty was released, but I eventually became better at the game to where Beginner level bots weren't too hard. I kept leveling and leveling...and then I started to look over more champions. I came across my own and read the lores and they were quite interesting. Not gameplay-changing, though. I knew why certain champions had certain quotes. I trained until I started my first PvP. It was hard, but for my first try, I had gotten 4/6, which my friends said wasn't too bad of a score, especially because I was new. That was a story I still remember, and now (currently, when I posted this) I am at the Team Builder level (it's hard but fun!). All of the memories of the really good rounds I've played are locked into my head forever :3 I know LoL is a game...but sometimes it's more than "just a game".

EDIT 1: I don't mean to be rude, but.... This is a board for us (everyone) to talk about CREATIVE IDEAS and what we IMAGINE, not "games with good stories...." or "I think what I think, so what?". Think League doesn't have good stories? That's fine. We all have our opinions. You don't have to DOWNVOTE this. Think it has a lot of good stories? Cool! I think the same. I created this so we could share our thoughts and opinions, not what games we like. You can create a board about what games you like, I might even end up reading it. But please do not post any suggestions in the comments; I'd like to read your creative ideas about story and lore. :) Thank you for taking your time to read my post! I enjoyed creating it a lot.
