New characters on the horrizon

Hello Rioters and players alike. I was wondering about a character design and hope there is a new champ on the horizon to fit this. Why isn't there a dual wielding swordsman in the style of Musashi Miamoto or resembling Yagiu Jube from Samurai Showdown? With all the other melee champs out there this seems like an obvious missed opportunity here. Anyone else agree?

There not a swordsmen with a shield either. There actually quite a few archetypes they missed.

I believe, the goal for the future Irelia VGU may be to fill this archetype, she won't exactly be dual wielding her swords though. (Her VGU is still a long way off btw)

She can control her blades telekinetically, and I believe the fanasty of the dual wielding sword-style is delivered in its quick combos and capability to take on multiple foes at once. Which more or less is going to be Irelia's future fantasy.

Well Katarina is dual wielding blades and Shen has 2 swords, even though he doesn't use both of them at once(at least not anymore)

Though in general I think there is a problem with giving a champion 2 weapons and that is the fact that it rarely feels meaningful. I mean when did old taric ever use his shield? Or would it change anything if Yasuo or master yi used 2 swords instead of one?

They likely want the second weapon to matter in some way,so unless the second weapon can be integrated into the kit in a meaningful manner they won't add one.
