Just asking, who do you think that person was in Prject Yi's flashback? Looks to me Master Yi died fighting or was captured and preserved and turned into a robot humanoid later. I noticed that the two sticks on the shadowy figure's back resembled Shen. Shen is supposedly angled torwards order, but he does have a warlord skin. Also, just throwing it out there, three of the projects are from Ionia. So.......Any ideas?

The things he's seeing might be fabrications of his imagination, false memories inserted into his mind during the process of being 'Projectified', etc. I think the visions he sees are half-true, half-false. We know Yi's village was murdered and stomped to the ground by Noxian forces... but the shadowy figure obviously has a samurai-themed armor, making it seem like hes Ionian. But why? Why would he see an Ionian in the place of a noxian? Unless... The people who mechanized all these Project champions wanted Yi to believe Ionians are the bad guys.
What if the people behind the PROJECT have connections to Zaun/Noxus, and attempted to make Yi believe Ionians destroyed something dear to him, making him vengeful towards Ionia when it's the place he's supposed to side with? But Yi escaped with the help of Fiora. And the process was obviously not complete, thus leading to his memories being a complicated mixture of false and true.
This theory goes well with another detail I noticed about the Project skins. You notice how Leona (although not portrayed in the trailer), Fiora and possibly Lucian underneath that scarf, have their face somewhat revealed? And Yi's concept art shows he still has his head and a huge portion of his original body intact underneath the metallic parts. Allow me to quote Riot from the recent Project post:

why are we talking about Zed?, he's an asshole, robot or not he was always evil, didnt care about anything but gaining more and more power. even if his project was complete it's not like they needed to change much, he would still kill everyone around him just for the fun of it.

That's an awfully narrow way of looking at it. Sure, Zed can be seen as the 'generic evil bad ninja man oh no', but despite that, he probably wouldn't simply just surrender to something like the Project carelessly. If anything, he must've been just as forced to it as anyone else. I see Zed as too prideful to give in to the Project. Imagine if Zed was forced to the Project against his will, but managed to escape (possibly with the help of the others?) before he was fully mechanized. Would it really be too hard to imagine him working with the others, at least temporarily until they find the truth about the whole Project thing?

Onegarion1 votesUnless its a new samurai skin for Olaf I don't think its him. It looks like a Samurai by the armor which could be a rival of Yi from his past or it could just be a nice image for an alternate reality.
JohnTheLibrarian1 votesI didn't really think so either, it was just a popular theory. He and Shen are the only people who dual wield any weapons really. Personally I think it has a connection to Yi's village being destroyed by Noxus, possibly a new champ idea. Although I know Riot also said not all of Yi's memories are his own in the video, so it may have no connection to Yi at all XD I'm quite excited to see or learn more though! :D
Onegarion1 votesI actually thought it was Yasuo's memories personally. The imagery reminded me of the Yas videos around his release. This could be during the Ionian-Noxus War and could be the person that murdered Yasuo's Elder.

JohnTheLibrarian1 votesI don't think it was ever proven, but not much in LoL is :P Considering the death was a wind user, during a Noxian invasion, an Riven is a Noxian killer, I like the odds :) Though I'd love to see a champ that can stand with Yas and Riven in power terms otherwise :D
Onegarion1 votesYes, but if we are talking about in Ionia there could be a number of people who use wind techiniques. Hell Yas's own brother was a wind user and studied with Yas. For all we know he could be the killer. The invasion could just be an opportunistic time to attempt and assassination.

Project cyborgs are made for light-speed combat for rapidly and violently killing people. This may evoke the Shaco.
It could be that dying to the Shaco the soul is eternally under his torment and Yi may be experiencing that. Not likely.
Project cyborgs may be an ingenious design of controlled chaos. An abstract thought pertaining to Shaco.
The cyborgs involuntarily stimulate an unfathomable psychic phenomena in the visage of Shaco for the purpose of unlocking the user's higher potential; but the enigmatic Shaco is actually there.
The users have died and are reanimated through hyper-advanced techmaturgy. Their soulless bodies are empty vessels for Shaco to exploit. all Project cyborg users may experience the same intrusion from demons.
