Any reason at all for completely changing the model? I really don't understand how an explosion changed him so much. Also, can you guys please let me play as him again? Gangplank has been my main for a long time so being unable to play as him for a week is a dick move Riot.

I've seen people continue to GAIN weight when they'd eat nothing but salads. They kept getting fatter because they'd sit on their butts all day.
However, GP doesn't seem to be that type, so I'mma go with "He's older now, and old people tend to be pudgier"
Rew7112 votesMy gramps is old and isn't fat. All of GP's other looks show him as a more rough fellow with a smaller belly. I'd love this new look if it would just have him skinnier. You don't get fat when you don't have a reason. His new lore got him to go and fight again (not a reason to get fat), he doesn't own much anymore nor has the money to indulge (also not a reason), and his core concept is to be a rough, rugged guy (and his skins...). I don't want Gangplank to be fat without a reason. Eating too many oranges? No, he's always on the move. You get fat in Bilgewater, you obviously won't survive. Please, we should ask them to change it. I almost forgot my last reason, he was first brought out as a big tough pirate with large muscles, remade into a smaller pirate with muscles, remade again (for 7 days) into again a large man with a great body, and now all of a sudden he's fat but not sulking in self loathing? Makes no sense.

Maybe slightly on the rounder side compared to Lucian or the like, but people who we typically look at as the strongest men in the world dont always have washboard abs. New Gangplank pretty much fits this body type, but now he's doing more of his own heavy lifting and put on a few pounds of mostly muscle.

Edit: Nevermind. It is certanly weird that he gained weight....i thought Captain GP would be an entirely new skin, as opposed to his current base.
It would make sense if Captain Gangplank was the fat one, since i imagine he sat on his ass giving orders way more often than after surviving Miss Fortune's attack.

2 - If you weren't busy panicking for no reason you'd read they are enabling GP tomorrow and giving Captain Gangplank (His VU) as a free skin to anyone who owns him and played him/will play him during the event. As a GP main I'm sure that isn't a problem for you

My complaint is that he was disabled for a week. Lore shouldn't negatively affect a game where the lore has no reason to exist other than "just because". Then you have the balls to tell me that I can't read and am panicking when you're the one who couldn't read and you were talking out of your ass.
