Is Kindred the Ruined King and Queen?

If you read Hecarim's new lore recently added, it says the king conjured a spell that bound their two souls together for eternity, and in Kindred's splash art you can see a dead king on the floor, possibly the ruined king shortly after the spell. Also when Kindred buys the Blade Of The Ruined King from the shop, it says "I personally tested this" which could refer to the sword the king used before they turned into Kindred and "forged in a land unwelcome to us" which could refer to the King being responsible for the current state of the Shadow Isles.

Anyways tell me if you see any flaws in your theories and I'm interested to see your thoughts.

No Kindred is not the Ruin King and Queen.

The Man and Woman in the Altars in Twisted Treeline though..that a better theory.

The dude on the floor wasn't a king if I remember correctly, from Kindred's Q&A. He was a noble though (again, if I remember correctly).

I'm pretty sure that Kindred existed for as long as humanity/Runeterra can remember, while the Ruined King was really a person once, a living man (and not too long ago)- Or so the legends tell. :P

Anyways, I personally thing that no, Kindred aren't the Ruined King/Queen.

I thought the idea very interesting, but riot's lame and I know it isn't true. Maybe they became one with them, but that is normally said to say that they just died.

The king didn't bind just their two souls... He bound the souls of everyone there. Hence Hecarim, Kalista and the others. Riot already confirmed that the king in the splash for Kindred is NOT the Ruined King. In my own opinion, the limited information we've gotten about the Ruined King and his Queen just don't seem to fit with Kindred at all. I remember a rioter saying that Lamb and Wolf at one point were not one, but I sincerely doubt that they were once the King and Queen. The effects of the King's spell would've likely influenced Kindred in some way, but there doesn't appear to be any such influence.

Like Veni said, Kindred says "forged in a land unwelcome to us." Which means that Kindred is not welcome on the Shadow Isles and thus is not born of the Shadow Isles.
