Garen's size?, feedback on the storytelling approach (not WOW, more Witcher and GoT)
Hey,
Garen's size: Garen is portrayed as unrealistcally big ingame and in his splash art, looks like it's inspired by WOW artwork, don't like it. What's his height and weight? and any picture where we can compare his real size to others?
Feedback: I appreciate how REALISTIC the story has become, scrapping summoners and Fields of Justice was the best thing done to the lore. It's one of its kind, a fantasy world where magic isn't the driving force of the story, but real characters, relations, social pressures, tragic pasts, deaths etc... the approach seems closer to Game of Thrones and the Witcher than to World of Warcraft. I was very well surprised by how Garen's lore and short story was written for example, he seems to have gained his high ranking position through respect and wits like true generals not only through his fighting skills like in most other fantasy stories. Unlike Jarvan who got his leader position through privelege and because of that is more prone to make bad decisions, Garen is better leader cause he earned his position. I think all of us back in season 2 thought Garen would be meathead, who is high ranking because of his courage and battle skills and Jarvan is the better leader, but it is not.
Realistic details like this makes the difference between great stories and bad ones. That's is why Game of Thrones is the most popular tv show right now, the Witcher most popular and praised game.
I wrote all this cause the storywriting team really touched me with how well thought some of the characters are. They are headed in the right direction i'm sure, even though there was backlash when you deleted Field of Justice, i'm confident people sometimes don't know what they would or will like (also depends on age).
