Why did Taric join Demacia?

What is his reason to join Demacia? Demacia already have support champions enough like , , and And I think should join the Piltover more because they are lacking support there.

If joined Demcia, would be going back to Ionia? Because Taric will take her role.

Don't you know that no one's allowed to remain unaligned in League anymore? Gotta make sure everyone can be properly categorized and labeled as per the Lore team's new rules. 'Cause, you know, there's no such thing as an interesting, unaligned character.

Where would Factions put an unaligned character?

The few they have are in rosters as a real stretch as it is.

Factions is a little different. Given that the whole basis of Factions matches is that you can only use champions that are a part of your faction, they need to add in other champs to make sure that everyone has a relatively well-rounded pool to choose from. Otherwise, certain factions would get totally screwed simply because Riot hasn't made enough champs for them yet (Ashe being the only Freljord ADC, for example). So it makes a lot more sense to reach out and "factionalize" the otherwise nonaligned champs.

In the real lore though? Makes no sense whatsoever. Jax wouldn't be nearly as cool as he is if he was allied with someone for whatever reason. Same with Aatrox. Same with Fiddles, or Shaco, or whatever unaligned champion you decide to pick.

No one being unaligned made more sense when the league was a literal thing and people who didn't fight for one of the nations competing in it would have no reason to fight in it at all. Sure, there were a few champs who it was inferred sold their skills to different nations on different occasions, but actual unaligned non-mercenary champs without a state in league politics had no reason to fight ever. Malphite, for example. I doubt he could be bought and he wasn't really tied to a particular nation.

Now that the league is no longer a thing, shoehorning all the champs into the nations seems kinda pointless. But then the lore in general is pointless now, so it's not really causing any harm. No real harm in accidentally getting a few hairs in the punch bowl that's already been peed in, after all. No one is gonna drink it either way.

I think what OP is talking about is his official page on the website, which actually does list him as Demacian for some reason.

I feel like they could write Taric in to Demacia properly, since right now he's kinda just plonked there. They just brought out the new items Crystalline Bracer item 3801 and Righteous Glory item 3800 , both of which look pretty Demacian to me (They look like Garen's armor), and have connections with gems, in their aesthetic and their build paths. While that may be a bit of a stretch, it could be that Demacia can utilize crystals and gems as a medium for magic, and that Taric, being a "Gem Knight", is one who is well versed in the ways of crystal magic, allowing him to wield immense divine power using it.

Keep in mind I thought this up mainly because of these two items, Garen's armor aesthetic and the gems within his armor, and Taric's current status as being plonked in Demacia. Could be total bollocks! But I feel like it could be a cool idea, I mean, it would explain where Garen gets the power to bring down a sword of light upon enemies, its in the gems!

Is that ancient power the origin of Demacian justice?! I dunno. Just speculating!
