58 of 121 Champions released need their lore to be changed to include the league. About 9 of which will likely need heavy/Total rewrites of their lore to accommodate the absence of the league. Approximately 48% of the champions in the game are somehow connected to the league in one way or another.

Judging by how slowly the lore team is writing new lores, I don't think we're technically free of the league anytime soon.

Yeah, Riot will be busy telling these grand new stories they want without the League or the IoW. Plan on waiting a crazy long time, for such thrilling events such as this Shurima generic junk.

Or they could you know, leave it alone and learn how to write withing their own created universe, instead of demolishing it to have a collection of random fantasy people, beat each other down cuz, reasons.

Given that Singed's lore was already out of date with Warwick's retcon... I have a horrible feeling that some of these champs' lores will never be touched again.

But it's cool, because Sivir is related to Harvey Birdman now! :D

Removing it is a bit silly because now there is no explanation as to why all the champions are there, what they are fighting over and why. We know there is background but why are they in The Summoner's Rift?

Also there was a PBE patch today that rewrote about all of the lore for the Shadow Isle champions (and maokai, who is apparently shadow isles now) that removed all of their references to the League and Summoners, I just thought I'd throw that out there.

The league never gave Ahri humanity,she got it herself and only wanted the league to find a way how she can get it without needing to kill someone.

Overall most lores are still working except for that part that mentions the league,so I guess they'll might just remove that part of the league in some lores.

Champs who need bigger retcons would be: Brand Chogath Fiddlesticks Hecarim JaxKayle Malphite Morgana Nocturne (I know heca got a new short-lore on the pbe,but we don't know if they'll actually change his full lore,also not counting skarner,because his short lore already retcons his current lore) In the case of the others you can basically just remove the stuff about the league in that lore and they would still work(might not really look complete,but working)
